Wouldn't that be weird to have a Spanglish speaking person from the south? Random I know but that is how my mind is working right now.
So Ashley and I were looking through some of our scrapbooks that Ashley has put together. I was looking at how beautiful my wife is and how cute my kids are. I am truly a lucky man. While we were looking through them I was overcome with emotion and a salty discharge was coming from my eyes. Of course I tried to hide it, after all I'm a man...hahaha. I don't think Ash even noticed. I think I got away with one, at least until she reads this...if she does.
Tomorrow is Ashley's birthday. She gets more beautiful over time. Look for a special birthday dedication coming soon!!

I love my wife. She is beautiful and her beauty shines more and more every day we're together. She is very determined and it shows through her hard work and excercise. She picks up my slack. That's a lot of slack to pick up. I love her smile because it accentuates her beautiful lips. Her lips are awesome. Her smile lights up a room and you can't help but smile when she does. Together I know that we can do anything and will accomplish anything we desire.

Today is my birthday. I'm officially 33 years old. Larry Bird's number. I still feel like I'm in my 20's but my body will remind me that I'm not every now and then. Yesterday we had a party and it was lots of fun. A lot of people showed up but 80-90% was family. Ash and I both have large families. Thank you for all the birthday wishes and for those that came last night and participated in the festivities.

So this is Ashley...seriously it is. I feel like Jason was being a Blog Hog, so I needed to add my 2 cents. (Just Kidding Shwetty). Wow, a lot has happened in the past 8 months since I checked in. We did move to Springville and I gotta say, I am really liking it. We plan on being here for awhile and we have great neighbors. Jason will definitely be busy for the nest little while. I have MANY Honey-Do projects planned!! Hoo Hoo Hoo Ha Ha!! (That was done in my scary, sinister laugh).

I had a good time at the American Idol concert last night. I was impressed with most of the performers, but my heart stayed true to Allison...the chick knows how to rock a stage! Not to mention those pipes.

So I've been working out hard with my most favorite trainer Kelly. I've been feeling awesome and I was even possessed to try my first race! I had a big kick in the butt from my Sis-in law Jill. We ran the Freedon Festival 5k together. It was awesome! We are pictured holding up the #1 because we plan on doing many more races in the future.

The kids are rotten as ever...just kidding. Man are they cute or what? I have posted a bunch of pictures, dating back to Christmas. (Have you ever seen a cuter wiseman? The answer to that should be a resounding NO!) Khyler had her pre-school graduation and she was SO cute! They sang songs, including "Shake it on down to New Orleans" where they shimmied on down. I gotta tell ya (shout-out to Linda) Khy definitely got my rhythm...she was the best one out there! It was a proud moment.

We did celebrate our 6th anniversary last weekend...and they said we'd never make it. Just Kidding, I dont think anyone has ever said that. By my own admission, if I cant make it with Jason, I cant make it with anyone! We had a great stay at the Italian Gondola room at the Anniversary Inn. I love Jason SO much and I am one lucky girl...he's a keeper! Well, I am out for now...til next time!

2 posts in 2 days. It's a world record. OK, it's a personal best but I know you're still excited.

My work (APX Alarm) gave out tickets to the American Idol Live concert last night. Ash and I got a chance to go. To be honest I was more impressed with the bottom of the Top 10. Scott, the blind guy, was really, really good. He was actually pretty entertaining. Megan Joy sounded pretty good. It seemed like Adam Lambert toned it down a little by not screaming every other note but don't count me as a fan. I still can't stand him. I really enjoyed Allison, she is a rocker! Gokey was good too. He inspired me to chase my dreams...LOL. Kris Allen was just alright for me dawg!

Rededicated

Seems like our last posting was a long time ago in a galaxy far away. Speaking of which I watched Star Wars Episode I with my kids and they really seemed to like it. Makes me so proud, probably not so much Ashley. I have decided to rededicate ourselves to posting new blogs, more often. At least once a month. So I hope you enjoy.

Much has happened since the last one. We've been on trips, celebrated our 6th anniversary on July 5th, been to a baby blessing, been working out and a lot more. We moved about a month ago. We moved back to Springville. We are doing a lease option on a great property owned by Ashley's mom. Gotta love family and we do. It's quite an upgrade from our little apartment. Way bigger and instead of sharing walls and ceilings we only share 1, since it is a twin home. It has a lawn which we are excited to take care of. We have made some improvements, painting the inside and a few smaller modifications to the yard. Ashley plans on making a lot more which means I may be busy for the next couple of years.

To show off those improvements we are going to have a housewarming / birthday party on Saturday 18th. You're invited if you can make it. I know my birthday is on the 19th but that's a Sunday this year, hence the party on the 18th. "Yeah Hence!!"

We almost got a dog the other day. It was a chocolate lab / pointer mix. Good looking dog, potty trained, FREE and kennel trained but the chemistry wasn't there. Plus the kids didn't seem to interested in it. We'll probably wait a few more years before getting a pet. Besides Cooper will woof, cuddle and do things on command just like a puppy. We can also make him clean up the messes he makes.

Jinkies, it's from Scooby Doo people. Velma rules! Wow, it has been a long time since we've updated our blog. Our apologies to those that actually read our drivel...lol. It's been a combination of lack of access and laziness.

Quick rewind...Thanksgiving was fantabulous. I love that holiday, it's the best ever. Any holiday that promotes glutiny is great in my book. So respect it!!

Christmas was fun but kind of long. Spent the night at Ash's moms house and I discovered that my children have sleeping turrets. Khy talks in her sleep and both her and Cooper randomly scream out loud and fall right back asleep. So I didn't get much sleep. The family Christmas Eve talent show was a lot of fun. I stole the show with my circus tricks and my "Chewbacca Sings" was requested again. We did a manger scene and Khy was Mary and Coop was a wiseman. It was the cutest thing ever. Then on Christmas day there were a ton of presents and kids to open them. Khyler enjoyed being with her cousins and opening presents. Cooper enjoyed himself as well. He wasn't to interested in opening his presents but he always enjoyed seeing what was inside, at least for a few seconds. Maybe some day we'll post some pics of these events.

New Years we had a great time playing games, eating pizza and watching the Dark Knight with our good friends the Jefferies (Rodd and Ashley (Rodd's wife)) That catches everyone up on our Holiday events.

Things are going pretty well for us. Ash has become my sugar momma. It's so awesome!! I love being a kept man...hahahaha Well this month she'll make more $ than me but overall I'm still the bread winner but even if she makes more $ than me for the rest of our lives I'd be alright with that.

NBA!!

This is Jason. I love the NBA. I love that my wife loves the NBA. I love that she's a Laker fan. I love this time of year (not for the weather but for the NBA). I love NBA league pass. I love the Lakers. I have always been a fan, always will be. Living in UT I have come to like the Jazz, especially Big Willy (at least that is what my bro in law Tyson likes to call him. That guy is awesome but this post isn't about the Jazz. It's about the best team in the world, the Los Angeles Lakers. Yes, I realize they didn't win the championship last year but that was last year, this is now.
Not sure if anyone watched the game last night but it seems to me that they are defensive minded this year. They stifled those doobieBlazers last night. They are by far the deepest team in the league allowing them to trust in one another and play tougher D. Kobe won't have to work as hard this year, not that he won't. I know it's early in the season but they will dominate this year. I could go on and on about my love for my favorite team but I won't. I'm sure there will be many other times I will be gushing about them, I'm sure there may be times that I bad mouth them but it's always out of love.

Well, surprise surprise...this is Ashley! I was forced to hop on the blogger band wagon. I keep telling Jason that I don't know how to blog or post pictures. Well I got a personal tutorial this morning so no excuses, right? Well I guess it also had to do with the fact that I once considered myself a decent keep in contact person. To Clarify, I used to be good at sending cards and pictures to our family members who are scattered across the US. I have been horrible at that for the past couple years, so here I am. (Sorry to the Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins etc. who have missed out on seeing my beautiful children).

Speaking of beautiful children, one of them is now follically impaired. A lot of you know that my baby Cooper has a LOT of hair. Well it was way past time for a cut. So I tried my very best to give him a trim yesterday. Throughout the day I kept trimming and trimming and trimming. Partly because I'm a perfectionist and partly because he was NOT cooperative in ANY way. Well, I goofed up BIG TIME! And being the perfectionist I am, I was in tears. The only way that I could resolve the situation in my obsessive compulsive mind, was to shave the whole thing so it would be even. It was a very traumatic evening for all of us...except Khyler who said that Cooper's hair looks "cool". (Thank you Jas for putting up with the melt-downs from both Cooper and I last night, love you!!)

So I have used my new skills to post before and after pics...yes this is the same baby I promise!! And as you can see, Cooper is about as happy about it as I am. I hope to get over the immense sadness I feel for the loss of his hair. Your support is appreciated! :D

The title is actually a song my brother Adam wrote for our sister Nancy. It's a great birthday song, especially my part of it...lol Today is Ashley's birthday. I'm so bad at doing "special" things for her special day. I ruin surprises, I leave messes for her to clean (ie dishes in the sink, poopy diapers, etc), my plans just never seem to work out the way I would like (you should hear how I ruined the marriage proposal). I made her breakfast in bed, hence the mess. I know she thinks her birthday won't be much fun, I'll do my best to make it better.

Ash I want you to know how glad I am that I suckered you into marrying me. Early in our relationship I heard older couples say that they love their "sweety" more now than they did when they were first married. I didn't think that was even possible but I now understand what they are talking about. You complete me...lol. I have realized in the recent past that you give me such strength. Strength to be a better man, a better father, a better husband. I look forward to our future together. You are a special woman. When I say, "special" I mean talented, beautiful, caring, determined, nurturing, funny, athletic [enter any other great characteristics here].

You hold my heart and that is probably the best gift I could give you, not to say that it will be the only gift hehehe. I love you and would do anything for you. Happy Birthday!

Weekend in San Diego

So my wife left me this weekend to spend time with the women in her family. I really need a vacation. I wanted to post a new blog a while ago but I couldn't remember our login info. Pretty lame. Long Time Reader, 1st Time Blogger

People always rave about how much fun it is to blog. I've never considered myself a blogger. I don't really read many of them, except for a few exceptions. I find it a good way for people to know what is going on in your life without having to email everyone. (How lazy is that?)
Life is good. Ashley and the kids are doing well. Khyler is a typical 3 (almost 4) year old except maybe for the rage she has. She is constantly trying to push her limits so we try to make sure she understands where those limits are. Cooper is a very mild child, at least most of the time. He's such a happy kid but like most kids he has his moments. Almost 13 months along but he doesn't have much of a desire to walk but he loves getting into things. Khy and Coop are so different but they both share a love for, music, dancing and exploring. They love each other so much and we hope that it continues on for the rest of their lives. Wishful thinking?
Jason is working for APX Alarm in their licensing department. It is very challenging and he really enjoys the people that he works with. He has been able to travel to St Louis, Houston and Jackson MS. Also to exotic locations such as Cedar City and Logan. He looks forward to it slowing down but he doesn't exactly know when that may be. Ash is starting to do some loan processing work for her mom and she's getting really good at it. The hardest work of all is juggling the kids and work but she's learning how to do that quite well. Khyler started pre-school about a week ago and she loves it. She is such a social butterfly (seems like she takes after her Grandma Marsha). It only takes one kid to talk to her before they are friends.
We recently moved into a much smaller place. We felt that it was necessary to downsize. We live in a small 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment. Been through some rough times recently but we are not discouraged and don't even see the rough times as rough. We have each other and as Ashley put it, she'd rather live with Jason in a cardboard box, then with someone else in a mansion. Ain't love grand?
